RatatouilleRatatouille

What’s Ratatouille? It is a chunky French stew made with tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini. Thanks to Pixar, it’s also the name of a funny animated movie about talking rats living in Paris.

Here’s a head’s up for this movie that’s coming to theaters in June 2007. Remy the rat lives in an expensive French restaurant and constantly risks his life to snitch food. Remy’s family scoffs, “why would any rat want gourmet food, when there’s plenty of garbage to eat?” Comic complications abound as Remy dreams of becoming a French chef, a seemingly impossible goal, considering that no one wants rodents in the kitchen. Fate places Remy ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unwanted visitor in the kitchen at one of Paris’ most exclusive restaurants, Remy forms an unlikely partnership with Linguini, the garbage boy, who inadvertently discovers Remy’s amazing talents. They strike a deal, ultimately setting into motion a hilarious and exciting chain of extraordinary events that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.
