Ritalin. You'll find one of these at the beginning of each
chapter.
"Do you feel
overwhelmed?"
Written by: Nicky VanValkenburgh
Dear Reader:
Do you feel overwhelmed? You might be looking at this book, and wondering if
these pages will hold your interest. Adults with ADHD often report difficulty in maintaining their focus long
enough to read an entire book. If this is true for you, don't worry. You shouldn't feel obligated to read from
cover to cover. Depending on your circumstances, you may not choose to read every chapter.
To gauge your interest, you can read these letters. At the beginning of each
chapter, I'll give you a quick summary, and then you can decide whether to continue reading or move on to a
topic more relevant for you.
In the next chapter, we'll discuss ten warning signs of ADHD:
1. Poor concentration
2. Distraction
3. Disorganization
4. Restlessness
5. Low arousal
6. Craving for stimulation
7. Impulsiveness
8. Poor short-term memory
9. Dissatisfaction and frustration
10. Emotionally wounded
Sound familiar? If you recognize at least six of these symptoms, then you
probably have ADHD. What you’re experiencing is not imaginary. ADHD is a real problem, but there is also a real
solution for it. There is no need to be overwhelmed, confused, or frustrated any longer.
My friend, the days of being held back by ADHD are over. This time, it’s going to
be different. You’re going to break the rules and do things your way. No more drugs and doctors in white coats.
No more roller coaster rides. No more suffering either. You’ll be doing things the easy way— in less time, with
less effort. It's time to train your brain and transform your life!
All the best,
Nicky
